What a virtual race is

A virtual race is a computer-generated event. There are no real horses, greyhounds, jockeys or racecourses behind it: the runners, the race and the finishing order are produced by the game system, which uses a random number generator to decide the result. Prices reflect each runner's chance in that system.

Virtual races are offered under our General Betting Standard – Virtual Event licence. They are not linked to any real race, form or weather, and a real-world result never changes a virtual result.
