Overview

All payments on this site are in pounds sterling. The methods below are the ones currently enabled; only these are shown in your account. If a method is switched off for maintenance or withdrawn, it disappears from the Deposit and Withdrawal pages and this list is updated.

Own-name methods only

Every payment method you use must be in your own name — the name on your account. We do not accept deposits from a card, bank account or e-wallet belonging to someone else, and we do not pay withdrawals to one. A deposit from a third-party method is returned to its source once identified, and the account may be restricted while we look into it. This rule protects you against fraud and is a condition of our licence.

Where customer money is kept

Money you deposit and winnings credited to your balance are kept in accounts separate from the operator's own funds. Your balance is shown in the header of every page and in your account; it does not earn interest and is not an investment.

Making a deposit

Log in and open Deposit in your account. The form has three steps:

  1. Payment Method — choose one of the enabled methods.
  2. Amount — enter an amount in pounds, from £5 to £5,000, or use the quick chips.
  3. Continue — confirm the details with your payment provider. For a bank transfer, you are shown the account details and a reference to use.

When the money is credited

MethodCreditedNotes
Debit CardImmediatelyVisa Debit and Mastercard Debit. Credit cards cannot be used for gambling in Great Britain and are declined.
Bank TransferWhen the transfer arrivesShows as Pending until received. Use the reference shown on the Continue step, or the transfer cannot be matched to your account.
E-walletImmediatelyThe e-wallet account must be registered in your name.

Limits

The minimum deposit is £5 and the maximum £5,000 per transaction. If you have set a deposit limit in Responsible Gambling, it is enforced at the moment you deposit: an amount that would take you over your daily, weekly or monthly limit is refused and the form tells you how much of the limit remains. Limits count deposits, not stakes or winnings.

We do not charge a fee for deposits. Your bank or e-wallet provider may apply its own charges; check with them.

Making a withdrawal

Open Withdrawal in your account. The form mirrors the deposit form:

  1. Payment Method — choose a method in your name. Where possible, a withdrawal goes back to the method you deposited with.
  2. Amount — at least £10 and no more than your available balance. Money staked on open bets is not available until those bets are settled.
  3. Confirm — the request is recorded with the status Pending and the amount is held from your balance.

Before the first withdrawal

Your account must have the status Verified before the first withdrawal can be requested. If it does not, the Withdrawal page points you to Verification instead of the form. See Verification below for what is needed.

Review

Every withdrawal request is reviewed before it is paid. The review confirms that the account is verified, that the payment method is in your name, and — where the amount or the pattern of play requires it — the source of the funds. Most reviews need nothing from you. If we need a document or an explanation, we email you and the request stays Pending until we have it.

When the review is complete the request is either paid, and the status changes to Completed, or refused, and the status changes to Rejected. A rejected withdrawal returns the money to your balance with the reason shown next to the request; you can then correct the problem and request again.

How long it takes

We do not promise a fixed or instant timescale. The time from Completed to the money appearing in your account depends on the method and on your bank or e-wallet provider: an e-wallet is usually the quickest, a bank transfer and a card refund can take several working days. Weekends and bank holidays add time on the receiving side. The date and time of each status change is recorded in Transaction History.

We do not charge a fee for withdrawals. A withdrawal cannot be reversed once Completed. If you need to stop a Pending request, contact us before it is paid and we will return the amount to your balance.

Verification

As a licensed operator we must confirm who our customers are — that you are 18 or over, that you are who you say you are, and that the money you use is your own. This is required by the Gambling Commission and by anti-money-laundering law, and it protects you against someone else using your identity.

Verification is completed in Verification in your account. The status moves from Verification Required to Pending when you upload a document, and to Verified only after a person has checked it. We normally ask for:

  • Photo identification — a passport, a UK or EU driving licence, or a national identity card. All four corners visible, in date, and matching the name and date of birth on your account.
  • Proof of address, if the address could not be confirmed automatically — a bank statement, utility bill or council tax letter from the last three months.
  • Proof of payment method ownership, where needed — for example a photo of the front of the debit card with the middle digits covered, or a screenshot of the e-wallet account showing your name.
  • Source of funds, in a small number of cases, usually where deposits are large or frequent — a payslip, a bank statement or another document that shows where the money comes from.

You can upload documents at any time; doing it early means the first withdrawal is not delayed. Documents are handled under the Privacy Policy and are not used for any other purpose.

Statuses

Deposits and withdrawals share the same three statuses. They appear next to each request in your account and in Transaction History.

StatusDepositWithdrawal
PendingThe money has not yet arrived. Normal for a bank transfer; for a card or e-wallet it means the provider has not confirmed the payment. The request has been recorded and is being reviewed. The amount is held from your balance.
CompletedThe money has been credited to your balance. The payment has been sent to your payment method. Arrival depends on the method and your bank.
RejectedThe deposit did not go through — declined by the provider, over a deposit limit, or a method not in your name. Nothing has been taken. The request has been refused and the money returned to your balance. The reason is shown next to the request.

Transaction History

Transaction History in your account lists every movement of money: deposits, withdrawals, stakes, returns on settled bets, and refunds of void bets. Each line shows:

ColumnWhat it shows
DateThe date and time of the transaction (UK time).
TypeDeposit, Withdrawal, Bet stake, Winnings or Refund.
AmountThe amount in pounds; money leaving the balance is shown as a negative figure.
Payment MethodFor deposits and withdrawals, the method used. For stakes, winnings and refunds it reads "Balance".
StatusPending, Completed or Rejected.
ReferenceA short reference for a payment, or the selection for a bet — quote it when you contact us.

The list is newest first and is a full record of your account — a straightforward way to see how much you have deposited and staked over a week or a month. Bets themselves — selection, price and result — are in My Bets.

If something goes wrong

A deposit is missing

Check Transaction History first. A card or e-wallet deposit that is Rejected has not been taken; if your provider shows a charge, it is a pre-authorisation that they release, usually within a few days. A bank transfer stays Pending until it arrives — allow the normal Faster Payments time and check that the reference was included. If a deposit is still missing after that, contact us with the date, amount, method and, for a bank transfer, the reference used.

A withdrawal is Rejected

The reason is shown next to the request. The most common reasons are an unverified account, a method not in your name, a bank account that could not be matched to you, or a document we asked for that has not arrived. Fix the cause — complete verification, add the correct method, upload the document — and submit the request again. The money is already back in your balance.

Contact

Write to support@irishracingraceclubs.com or use Contact Us. Include the date and amount, and never send full card numbers or passwords by email. If you are unhappy with how a payment matter was handled, the Complaints page explains the procedure.

If you find yourself depositing more than you planned, set a deposit limit or take a time-out in Responsible Gambling. A lower limit applies at once.
